This support counseling will teach you how to preserve your own wellness and mental health and provide clarity in times of stress. With the complicated world we live in today, knowledge of the world around us and the desire to fix it can be stressful. When you give so much to others, it can be hard to give back to yourself. Allow yourself to learn insights, perspectives, and practices to cultivate peace of mind while staying devoted to your cause. Oftentimes, we can unconsciously project our own background trauma pertaining to the issue we fight for onto the cause and fuel anger, causing people in the same movement to divide. In order to change the world for the better, we must also attend to our own inner healing and self-understanding so we can stand as a united front. These sessions will help you to engage as a nonviolent activist with the collective issues you are moved to serve, such as human rights, social justice, environmental protection, and peace, while maintaining relative emotional balance and reducing risk to your own wellbeing. This offering can be for an individual or a group of likeminded activists who wish to work together toward a cause while maintaining a common goal and healthy mindset.
